It should be about the book you are reading at home.
•You should tell the title and the author.
•You should tell a little bit about what the book is about. (This is a brief one or two sentence summary)
•Include one question you had while reading. Tell if this is a thick or a thin question. Did you find and answer?
It needs to be one paragraph of 5-7 sentences.

I am reading Ramona Quimby Age 8 by Beverly Cleary.Ramona is starting the third grade. Her father is out of work and her mother works a full time job. Ramona also has a job. To be nice to her best friend Howie's little sister Willa Jean. She has to go to their house after every school day to be watched by Howie's grandmother. The bad thing about it is whatever Willa Jean does ramona gets blamed for. She always has to be nice to her. I have a thin question. Will Ramona ever get to be mean to Willa Jean? Will she ever stop going to their house? I think it is thin because I will probably find out if I keep reading.

ReplyDeleteI am still reading "Percy Jackson and the Olympians; the Battle of the Labyrinth" by Rick Riordan. It is about a boy named Percy, who is on a mission to find Daedalus' workshop. It contains a map to get through the Labyrinth. Percy and his friends must protect the map from Luke and the monsters so they dont use it to invade camp halfblood. Right now I am wondering exactly where Percy Jackson is? He passed out and woke up on an island. This is a thin question and i dont have have answer yet. I will have to keep reading to figure it out.

ReplyDeleteI'm reading the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid, by Jeff Kinney. This book is about a boy named Greg Heffley. His life in middle school is rough because bullies push him around. He thinks it can't get any worse, until he gets grounded from video games for a week. My question is will Greg ever have the best day of his life? This is a thick question because I probably will have to read another book in the series to find out.~J.C.
I am reading The Big One-OH by Dean Pitchfork. The book is about a boy named Charlie who is trying to make friends. Last week I wrote about him trying to get kids to come to his birthday party. This week I read that he was trying to get his house ready for a party. He is trying to make it scary. While I was reading I wondered if he could make it a good party without the help of his mom. His mom was going to have to work. This is a thin question but I have not found out yet. I'm looking forward to reading more to find out.

I am reading the book, The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snicket. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baundilaire go to a poor city named Paltryville and live at the Lucky Smells Lumbermill. Our reading focus this week is questioning. A question I have is, how did Paltryville get so poor? I think this is a thin question because you can probably find the answer in the book. I also would like to know how someone could actually live at a lumbermill? I think this is a thick question, because I think you would probably have to use your imagination to answer this one. I am very anxious to see what happens in the end. -Kayla
