Rights of Royals

Britain spends millions and millions of dollars to support the royal family. Some people say this is too much money. Do you think this is a good use of money? Should people have special rights because they were born into royalty? Why or why not?

    I think it's not fair for royal familys to be treated better than everyone else. Also people areut there right now sitting on the streets in London withno home. Because everyone is spending money on the royal family. And I think royalty should be over because medievel times are over and the king and queen really don't have anything todo. Because we have the president and the goverment to rule the united states.

    I was so excited when I found out they got married. I think they should of spent alot of money because it is a HUGE event.Yes they should get special rights because they someday will be the King and Queen of britian.

    I think it isn't right that they spend so much on a wedding.I know that it's a royal wedding, but still, the money could be helping people who were hit by the tornado. If a wedding is fancy, that doesn't mean it's good. It's the people that make it good.-Angela

    i think royalty is just for show. so i think its not fair to give them all of the money and use it on a fancy wedding and not real important things.but also they're the big show of britan so i guess they might as well make a big deal. so i am half and half-KARA

    I don't think that just because you were born in royalty, you should have special rights. I mean, they didn't do anything special. So if someone else was born the queen's daughter, then they would be the princess. You see what I mean?-Angela

    I think that it should stay that way even if they weren't born in royalty but married someone who was. I actually think that they give some money to charitys. But I don't think Kate and William should have diffrent rules for the world if we do, even though they are probaly going to rule the world someday(HaHa:)

    I think they shouldn't use that much money on just a wedding when it could be used for more important things like paying taxes or cleaning up parks. But then again, it doesn't happen often.- Izzy

    I dont think its right that royals get treated better because its not fair to the citizens, they get millons f dollers for weddings wall others get 1,000-10,000.

    I'm not sure the royal family deserves so much money, but the people in Britain know what they're doing. I think there are better uses for all the money, but I'm not British. I think they should have the same rights as everyone else. As for us (Americans) the President doesn't get loads of money, he earns a salary. -Lucas
